In this data protection information we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing by DIG GmbH.

Data processing when calling up our websites
When the DIG entry pages are called up, information is automatically collected such as
- IP address
- Date and time of access
- the browser you are using and, if applicable, the operating system of your Internet-enabled computer
sent to our server and temporarily stored by us. The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest of the data processor (Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO). The legitimate interest is based on the following purposes:

- ensuring and optimizing the user-friendliness and handling of our website,
- ensuring system security and stability

Account holder user management
In the case of user management, the account holder (DIG customer) or, upon assignment, an authorized DIG employee can activate certain users for the account holder. The account holder manages and organizes his created users. For this purpose, he can access the specified and generated information about the users.
The account holder can dispose of the following options:
- Set user preferences
- grant or terminate account access for the user
- reset password
- access and save the data of the user account
Deleting personal data
Data that we store will be blocked for further use when the corresponding authorization ceases to apply, in particular after the purpose has been achieved, and deleted after expiry of the retention periods under tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly consented to the further use of your data or something else has been contractually agreed.
Data security
Appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken to protect your data against accidental or unlawful destruction, disclosure, access, manipulation or loss and against other misuse.
For your security, your data is encrypted using a TLS (Transport Layer Security) certificate. This is an encryption standard that is also used, for example, in online banking. You can recognize a secure TLS connection in the address bar of your browser (https://) or by the lock symbol in the lower area of your browser. Please bear in mind that security when using the Internet depends on various circumstances and cannot be guaranteed without gaps at all times.
Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage.
We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

Your rights
You are generally entitled to the rights of information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection.
