Achieving more together: DIG is part of proALPHA!

proALPHA takes over DIG and creates holistic end-to-end solution for the entire purchasing cycle

Weilerbach, November 14, 2023 - The proALPHA Group, one of the leading providers of ERP+ software solutions for the midmarket manufacturing industry, is acquiring DIG GmbH ("DIG") in response to increasing customer demand for automated purchasing processes for both direct and indirect procurement. DIG offers - especially for mechanical and plant engineering, automotive, trade and other core industries - cross-divisional total solutions from electronic procurement to automated document flow and invoice receipt through to the complete purchase-to-pay process (P2P). DIG will be merged with the proALPHA Group company curecomp, which promises a wide range of synergy potential and targeted go-to-market strategies in view of the long-standing partnership and broad joint customer base. Asina Leist, who has been responsible for the fortunes of curecomp Software Services GmbH as Managing Director, will take over the management of the consolidated company.

With the acquisition of DIG, proALPHA is consistently pursuing its strategy of combining best-of-suite with best-of-breed and strengthening its ERP+ platform with market-leading solutions. With over 20 years of experience, DIG is the leading expert for cloud solutions in the area of operational purchasing and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) for SMEs. The comprehensive purchase-to-pay solution covers all electronic business processes - from ordering to payment - which significantly reduces the customer's purchasing workload. The strong functional breadth and depth of the procurement platform can reduce process costs by up to 40 percent and pays for itself quickly, often within a year. The established provider focuses on the business areas of electronic procurement of indirect goods (MRO), invoice processing and data transfer via EDI. With the "Guided Buying" extension, DIG makes it easy to design company and user-specific user guidance and thus guarantees compliance with procurement guidelines - without any training or requests to the purchasing department.

Customers want to digitize and automate purchasing

DIG currently has more than 500 customers and around 30,000 connected suppliers. More than 100,000 users and over 3,000 companies across Europe are digitally networked via the DIG data hub. Every year, the 45 employees process an order volume of around five billion euros via the platform. Well-known medium-sized and enterprise customers include Fujitsu, Gebrüder WEISS, Kellner & Kunz, Palfinger and Rosenbauer International. "Purchasing is becoming increasingly important for a company's success. This is the message that our customers are increasingly conveying to us," says Eric Verniaut, CEO of the proALPHA Group. "As a solution provider from procurement to automated document processing and payment, DIG increases security of supply, intensifies partnerships with suppliers and creates freedom in strategic purchasing. With the merger of DIG and curecomp, we are now creating the perfect link between operational and strategic purchasing."

Operational and strategic purchasing under one roof

DIG's offering fully complements that of curecomp. Accordingly, proALPHA's strategy is to merge curecomp and DIG. This promises great synergy potential and joint go-to-market strategies in view of the long-standing partnership between the two companies, a shared customer base and, not least, the shared location in Linz. The aim is to merge the offerings into a holistic product world for strategic and operational purchasing. A corresponding end-to-end solution for these two areas is currently high on the list of priorities for companies.

"The technologies from DIG are a perfect addition to the curecomp portfolio and therefore to the proALPHA ERP+ solution platform. Both new and existing customers will receive a complete and future-proof solution that offers real strategic added value in the form of supplier consolidation and development, the bundling of procurement volumes, green sourcing or tasks in connection with supply chain management," explains Marine Gurzadyan, Chief Corporate Development & Strategy Officer at proALPHA GmbH. "Together with DIG's experience and expertise, we are in a position to further expand our market position and inspire even more customers with our holistic ERP+ solutions."

"We are very pleased to welcome DIG GmbH to the proALPHA group of companies. We already know the product very well, have around 50 joint customers and a well-functioning integration. On this basis, we will open up new markets and business potential in the future," says Asina Leist, CEO of curecomp. "By combining the expertise of curecomp and DIG, we are creating one of the leading providers of SRM solutions in the DACH region."
