Ideally set up supply chains secure production with punctual material availability - and support quality assurance, e.g. with the exchange of supplementary documents or certificates. At the same time, digital order processes provide transparency and traceability. Classic ordering processes can be mapped as well as "just in time" (JIT) or "just in sequence" (JIS) procurement. VMI processes can also be digitized in order to plan capacities and interactively fine-tune delivery quantities and deadlines.
The transparent mapping of orders, order confirmations, transportation and receipt of goods, as well as the ability to view order and delivery status, makes collaboration between all parties involved highly efficient. The transparency of this information allows an exciting real-time insight into the supply chains as the lifelines of the company.
Every expansion of existing system landscapes raises technical questions first and foremost. DIG provides the answers with its proven interface expertise, ensuring that the agile system is perfectly integrated into the respective ERP! The second critical point of a successful introduction is user acceptance: and this is precisely where the system offers advantages for all those involved.
Supply chain collaboration ensures
- more efficient supply chains
- Optimal collaboration with suppliers
- Relief for operational purchasing
- More resources for strategic tasks
- Automated and standardized processes
- fewer errors due to manual work or media disruptions
With DIG Supply Chain Collaboration, the entire order process from order to order confirmation is conveniently automated. In this way, manual intervention is minimized - and as a result, errors caused by media disruptions or manual data entry are avoided. The result is an increase in data security, process quality and transparency in the supply chain.
The advantages of the solution for suppliers are an important point: If there is no direct EDI connection, communication takes place via the self-explanatory web portal. Here, suppliers can find current inquiries and tenders, enter their order confirmations, manage delivery dates and delivery bills and transmit process-relevant documents.
Seamless integration into your existing ERP system, such as Proalpha (but also SAP, Oracle and many more), enables end-to-end communication between companies and suppliers. This not only simplifies the exchange of orders, order confirmations and delivery bills, but also improves transparency across the entire delivery process.
The ordering process is at the heart of the solution and enables orders, order confirmations and goods receipts to be mapped completely digitally. In the standardized processes, all documents are automatically created and archived in the ERP system. The intuitive user interface allows the purchasing department to manage the ordering process quickly and easily. In addition, all order confirmation data is automatically transferred to the ERP system.
In addition to the central ordering process, DIG Supply Chain Collaboration can also be optionally extended with special processes for efficient supplier communication, depending on the purchasing strategy . For example, inventory management can be outsourced to suppliers with VMI.
With the optional VMI function, inventory management and replenishment planning are outsourced to the supplier. The supplier is responsible for stock management and the timely delivery of items. With direct access to demand and consumption data, the supplier can react at an early stage. This avoids bottlenecks, optimizes stock levels and reduces operational activities in purchasing.
The optional delivery schedule functionality gives the supplier extensive insight into the production horizon. On this basis, the required products, quantities and delivery times can be ideally planned - both by the customer and the supplier. Just-in-time delivery call-offs reduce storage costs and shorten lead times. The long-term framework agreements required for this ensure stable and secure supply chains. Clear supply structures make purchasing easier and enable production to plan reliably.
